But I trust in you oh Lord; I say, “You are my God. My times are in your hands.”

Psalm 31 14:15a

"We are blessed to be part of the Immanuel Family, and it truly is a family here. The presence of Jesus is evident, and you can feel that here at the school."

Enrollment 2015-2016

Immanuel Lutheran School recognizes that the best source of recruiting new
families to our school is our existing families. So once again, for the upcoming school year (2015-2016), the following incentive policy will be in place to reward those families recommending our school to family members and friends. If a current Immanuel family refers a new family (new family is defined as not having a student at our school for the last two years) that family will receive an educational fee credit.

*$100 for each new full-time family brought into our school grades 5K-8.

* $50 for each new part-time (grades 3K-8) family brought into our school.
Student(s) must maintain enrollment for the full school year. If student is enrolled only for part of school year, a prorated discount will be given.

Immanuel Awarded NLSA

Immanuel was observed by a team of qualified educators, evaluated and recognized as a quality school which will provide an excellent education for all children who attend. NLSA accredited schools measure up to national standards. Immanuel received accreditation from the National Lutheran School Association (NLSA) in September. Accreditation assures parents that we comply with national standards. It indicates our commitment to on-going improvement.

Lunch Donations Needed

School is in full swing and for the most part, things are going smoothly. Sometimes however, we have problems with student lunches. Whether it is the lack of a call from a parent whose child is going to be late or an error made in the office or the classroom, every once in a while we miss a lunch. We are hoping to supplement our lunch program with some quick lunch items for those times. We are looking for jelly, bread, individual size microwave meals (mac n’ cheese, spaghetti-o’s, etc.), single serving fruit or vegetable cups, single serving applesauce and granola bars.

Message from the Principal

The hardest part about love is to love others like God loves us. Who are we suppose to love? Well, we should love God, family, friends, neighbors and even our enemies. The last one is the hardest…there is always someone we may not get along with or even have different beliefs then we do. Loving people that we don’t always see eye to eye with or even those that may be a bully may seem impossible to love, but it’s not with God’s help. By asking for God’s help we will be able to love our enemies even when we can’t do it on our own. This does take time, remember it is easier to love than to hate. Love takes time to grow. It needs to push out the sinful hate that we naturally have within us. Love is truly a blessing from God. Through God’s grace and mercy we can show this love through conversation, listening, doing things for others.

God’s Blessings
Heidi Wallner, Principal
