But I trust in you oh Lord; I say, “You are my God. My times are in your hands.”

Psalm 31 14:15a

"We are blessed to be part of the Immanuel Family, and it truly is a family here. The presence of Jesus is evident, and you can feel that here at the school."

Immanuel Lutheran School

Located in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Immanuel Lutheran School is a private Christian elementary school accredited with the National Lutheran School Accreditation. We believe in building faith in Christ one child at a time. We educate Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade. Children of all faiths are welcome. We teach the whole child - spiritual, cognitive, creative, physical, emotional and social. Our students reflect God's love through service to God, family and community.

Pajama Collection - Christmas Outreach

Immanuel is collecting NEW pj's of all sizes (newborn to adult) for any season as our 2014 Christmas outreach project. All pj's will be donated to Sheboygan's Bridgeway & Beyond House (helps single mothers and their children move from living in crisis to self-sufficiency) and Safe Harbor (for abused and sexually assaulted people). Other new items we are collecting include bedtime storybooks, slippers, slipper socks and blankets.

Child Care - Holiday Hours

If you are in need of care for your child, the Child Care will be open on December 22 and December 29 from 6:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Please contact the school office as soon as possible if you are interested.

What is AWANA?

AWANA (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed) strives to help our children “do their best to present themselves to God as ones approved, workmen who do not need to be ashamed and who correctly handle the word of truth.” AWANA combines games, music, scripture memorization, fellowship, and a Christ centered message to help better equip our kids in understanding the Scriptures and growing in their faith. We are offering this program on Tuesday Nights from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30pm for students in 1st -6th grade. Please encourage any children you know to give it a try. We are also looking for some additional youth to help with skits and listening to memory work. If you are in 7th grade or older just show up on Tuesday night and we will find a way to use your God given gifts to help this program succeed.

Immanuel Awarded NLSA

Immanuel was observed by a team of qualified educators, evaluated and recognized as a quality school which will provide an excellent education for all children who attend. NLSA accredited schools measure up to national standards. Immanuel received accreditation from the National Lutheran School Association (NLSA) in September. Accreditation assures parents that we comply with national standards. It indicates our commitment to on-going improvement.

Lunch Donations Needed

School is in full swing and for the most part, things are going smoothly. Sometimes however, we have problems with student lunches. Whether it is the lack of a call from a parent whose child is going to be late or an error made in the office or the classroom, every once in a while we miss a lunch. We are hoping to supplement our lunch program with some quick lunch items for those times. We are looking for jelly, bread, individual size microwave meals (mac n’ cheese, spaghetti-o’s, etc.), single serving fruit or vegetable cups, single serving applesauce and granola bars.

Message from the Principal

“Oh give thanks unto the Lord for He is good and His mercy endures forever” Amen. This Psalm that the students say each and every day after lunch in a responsive prayer makes me think about God and His blessings. Giving thanks. We are reminded each and every time we say these words to give thanks in all we do. We have so much to be thankful for all year long, but it sure is nice to stop and reflect on these blessings this time of year as well. Thanksgiving is a day set aside each year for giving thanks to God for our blessings received during the year. On this day, many people give thanks with feasting and prayer. I pray that your holiday is joyful and blessed with food and fellowship with your loved ones. Remembering to be thankful each day for our blessings no matter how great or small they may be- even during the good times and even those bad times—when our thoughts and lives may be troubled. We should focus on what is real, what is a blessing—the Cross. What Joy that brings even during those tough times; the relief that it is always nice to stop and reflect on our blessings this time of year!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Heidi Wallner, Principal
