Hoops for Heart

Immanuel students raised about $2,700 for the American Heart Association's Hoops for Heart Event! Students spent the morning with jump ropes, hula hoops, basketballs, an obstacle course, heart rate station, coloring and reenergizing with healthy snacks. The surprise event this year was the first use of the newly installed Climbing Net. Thanks to all of you who helped hang the cargo net. Check out the picture of Second grader, Nolyn Anderson, climbing to the top of the net! Nolyn’s dad, Jesse Anderson, was one of the workers that helped install the net.

Enrollment 2015-2016

Immanuel Lutheran School recognizes that the best source of recruiting new
families to our school is our existing families. So once again, for the upcoming school year (2015-2016), the following incentive policy will be in place to reward those families recommending our school to family members and friends. If a current Immanuel family refers a new family (new family is defined as not having a student at our school for the last two years) that family will receive an educational fee credit.

*$100 for each new full-time family brought into our school grades 5K-8.

* $50 for each new part-time (grades 3K-8) family brought into our school.
Student(s) must maintain enrollment for the full school year. If student is enrolled only for part of school year, a prorated discount will be given.

Accreditation assures parents that we comply with national standards. It indicates our commitment to on-going improvement.

Lunch Donations Needed

School is in full swing and for the most part, things are going smoothly. Sometimes however, we have problems with student lunches. Whether it is the lack of a call from a parent whose child is going to be late or an error made in the office or the classroom, every once in a while we miss a lunch. We are hoping to supplement our lunch program with some quick lunch items for those times. We are looking for jelly, bread, individual size microwave meals (mac n’ cheese, spaghetti-o’s, etc.), single serving fruit or vegetable cups, single serving applesauce and granola bars.

Tax Deduction for Private School Tuition

Message from the Principal

How wonderful our God is for providing the re-growth and renewal of life that comes from Jesus and HIS love for us. His death on the cross and then His resurrection are like the changing of winter to spring; we are filled with hope for a renewed life and bright future. Jesus brings us HOPE in the HOPELESSNESS that sometimes surrounds us—our lives become so busy we forget to celebrate what is around us! Easter is a time to celebrate this new life that is all around us. A time to be excited about the wonderful love Jesus shows to us. The love He showed by suffering and dying on the cross for you and me only so that we may celebrate eternal life in Heaven with Him. What a sacrifice! We are so blessed! Then, after all that sadness we can rejoice in Jesus’ love. It is Easter, Let us celebrate Jesus’ resurrection the victory has been won! REJOICE! This love that Jesus has for us is unconditional, never-ending, non-judging, and pure! I am so hopeful and rejoice in the strength I receive from Him.

God’s Blessings
Heidi Wallner, Principal
