Church

Pastor Rev. David B. Paape welcomes you! The first day of school at Immanuel Lutheran begins with an 8:45 am Chapel Service, led by our pastor.  Subsequent services are on Wednesday mornings at 8:30 am.  All parents and guests are invited to attend our weekly chapels.  Students are asked to please dress appropriately.  Our pastor, teachers, or guest speakers conduct these services.  The informal services often involve our students.  During Advent and Lent the services times will be at 1:00pm. Students are given Chapel Offering envelopes to bring to their weekly services.  Each quarter the school designates its offerings to a special mission project.

Acolytes

Seventh and eighth grade students, who are members of Immanuel Lutheran Congregation, will participate in Worship Services by lighting the altar candles.  The pastor provides a rotating schedule and training.

Confirmation

Students in grades seven and eight will receive confirmation instruction from the pastor.  Classes will meet twice a week during the school day.  Church attendance of 50% is required for all Immanuel members seeking to be confirmed.  Sermon notes are also required.  Eighth graders, upon completion of their Bible studies will publicly testify to their faith in front of the church. In spring, the confirmands will receive the blessing of the congregation and be taken into full membership.

Counseling

Immanuel’s goal is to help each student develop his/her talents to the glory of God and to reach out in service to others. Our Christian teachers, principal and pastor can help give direction through the Word of the Lord.
