Grades 3 and 4
Teacher - Ellen Stelter
Classroom Highlights
The students and Mrs. Stelter were very happy to come back to school after the long Christmas vacation. There are so many things to still learn this year and everyone wanted to get started!
Religion
We are memorizing the Commandments. Our lessons are about Samuel and Israel's first king, King Saul. Many of the students are doing their best to live according to our Micah 6:8 theme. During the school day they are “acting justly” and “walking humbly” with our God.
Science
Did you know the Sun is about 93 million miles away? If it was closer – we’d be too hot on Earth. If it was further away – our Wisconsin winters would be even colder! Don’t you just love the way God perfectly created everything! We painted the Sun and its storms. Also we all got A’s on our Sun test.
English
We are writing more stories. In the hallway you can see our stories and pictures about feeding Jesus some of our favorite foods. Many of the students would feed Jesus pizza, French fries, and ice cream.
Math
Multiplication tables are being memorized. This is one skill that Mrs. Stelter says we will use the rest of our lives. We have some cool tricks for learning them. If you need help – ask a 3rd or 4th grader.
Spanish
Students have finished a map study of Spanish speaking countries in North, South, and Central America.
