Classroom Highlights

WOW!  It is hard to believe the school year is almost over.  The colder temperatures have made it easier to be in school and finish up!

We are reading Where the Red Fern Grows, by Wilson Rawls.  Did you know that his grammar, punctuation, and spelling were so bad he burned all of his work before he was married so his wife wouldn’t know?  Fortunately he told her and she became one of his editors.  Because of this we have this great book.

We are also busy in History class learning about life after World War II.  We learned how the 1950’s changed the nation.  We had the Baby Boom, more cars, television and our favorite, Rock ‘n’ Roll.

In Science we are learning about light and sound.  It is amazing all the light and energy we get from different sources especially the sun.

Finally, in Religion class we are studying the Lord’s Prayer.  Even though we all know it by heart, we are surprised and impressed by all the things we pray for in this prayer.  The Lord gave us an awesome gift when He gave us the Lord’s Prayer.
Have a great weekend and enjoy these last days of school!
