Classroom Highlights

(Submitted by Mrs. Wallner)
The end of the school year is fast approaching, and we are busily wrapping up all that needs to be done for 8th grade graduation.  We have chosen a class verse, written essays about our Christian education, and are planning our wills and prophecies.

We are also anticipating a fun class trip to Wisconsin Dells on Friday June 6 to celebrate our year together.

Students in 7th and 8th grade will perform a chapel service on June 4.  Please join us as we share the Word of God with our families and friends at Immanuel.

In religion, we will be finishing up with the Old Testament stories of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Jonah, and Esther.

In English, we will review using the parts of speech correctly.

In Literature, we are continuing the novel ABC Murders.  It has been very interesting so far, and we are enjoying putting the clues of this mystery together!

(Submitted by Mrs. Buss)

In math, we are finishing up our year reviewing the main concepts and memorizing formulas.

Science, we are fascinated with our bean plants and how fast they are all beginning to grow and sprout---God is wonderful in all that He does---creation of a plant from a seed.  We just finished our chapter on viruses and bacteria and we discussed the importance of washing our hands, not sharing drinks, keeping ourselves clean, getting enough rest and just staying healthy.

The year has gone by so fast and Mrs. B and Mrs. W want to thank the class for a wonderful year, and good luck and God's blessings to our five 8th graders. We sure will miss you!!!
