Admission Policy

Immanuel Lutheran School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities made available to students of the school.  Immanuel does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies and admissions policies.

Immunization

Immunization records must be included as mandated by the state.  By law, if a student’s immunization records are not up to date by the 30th day of school, legal action will be taken. 

Transferring From Another School

All pupils transferring to Immanuel Lutheran School shall be accepted on a four-week probationary basis.  For admission and enrollment prior transcripts and records from previous schools must be provided (if applicable).  Final acceptance will be determined after a conference between the classroom teacher, parents and principal.  Immanuel Lutheran School reserves the right to deny admission of any student, member or non-member as determined by the outcome of the conference, or if needed, after final evaluation by the Board of Education.

Class Size

Immanuel limits its individual class size to twelve students.  In grades one through eight, the number of students per classroom will not exceed twenty-four pupils.  Consideration will be given according to the following criteria:

• Returning students
  
• Members of Immanuel Congregation
  
• Members of a sister LCMS church
  
• Members of other Lutheran churches
  
• Members of a Christian congregation
  
• Families with no church affiliation
